Greenworld Counselling

Sarah Waymouth - BACP, M.Ed, LMHC, NCC, BA

Welcome! I hope you enjoy exploring my website to learn more about what I do and why I do it. I'm an Integrative Counsellor working online and in person in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. As well as having my own Counselling Practice, I have worked as a School Counsellor and I'm a mum of two boys. It's my passion to work with children, teens, young adults, and their supportive parents and caregivers to help them manage the stresses and strains of life and make each day a little easier.

If you have any questions at all, please just drop me an email and we will arrange a time talk. Email: sarah@greenworldcounselling.com

I believe counselling is so important because it has the power to change the direction of your life. Whether in my private practice, or school counselling work, children and young people deserve an environment where they can feel safe to learn and grow. This is the atmosphere they can expect in our counselling relationship, an unconditional support to help children and teens learn, have fun, grow in confidence, try new things, and become the best version of themselves.

Counselling is a second career for me and was a very deliberate life change. Just as I explain to young peopleI work with, I believe in exploring passions and while I love my business career, counselling gives me the opportunity to fulfill my passion to work with children day to day and develop my professional skills.

I have always loved working with young people but my passion for working in schools developed in the years I ran an educational non-profit, Tenteleni, that worked in schools in Sub-Saharan Africa. I founded the organisation in South Africa with my co-founder and experienced educator, Gladys Maseko (pictured). Over crowded classrooms, racial issues and HIV/AIDS prevalence were all parts of daily life in the disadvantaged schools in South Africa, and I was privileged to experience the work of educators that inspired their students every day.

Today I am a mum, a wife, an auntie, a godmother, a business owner, and an integrative counsellor. I came to counselling later in life and understand what it means to have a very busy professional life, to cope with difficult parenting situations, and I remember what it feels like to be struggling at school. Having lived and worked in the U.S. and the U.K. I understand what it feels like to transition and be different. My life experiences help me work effectively with all those in the community and systems that surround our children, and help me to be a better counsellor.

And finally, you may wonder why my business is called Greenworld Counselling. Coined by Shakespeare, Greenworld is a natural place where growth can happen, conflicts resolves and ecosystems are re-balanced. Greenworld is also a family home, a shelter from the outside world, a place of safety, calm, and exploration where everyone can be their true selves. My aim is that my counselling office, wherever that may be, will be a similar safe place of support for all that visit.
